Red Alert At The Ring of Fire
The Ring of Fire is an area located in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions have taken place. Shaped like a horseshoe, it stretches approximately 25,000 miles or 40,000 kilometers, passing several continents in its path. It is believed that 452 volcanoes call the Ring of Fire home; 75% of the world’s active and dormant volcanoes can be found here. Over 80% of the world’s largest and most destructive earthquakes occur in this zone. As of lately, it seems that the Ring of Fire has been roaring to life. One source even mentions that eruptions are so frequent, that the mainstream news should be reporting on them every couple of days for quite a few years now. Unfortunately, things of this nature are incredibly hard to gauge and much of the mainstream media may be avoiding the topic so they won’t be labeled as fear mongering.
